Ms. Stephanie Mitsuko Kimura, a Ph.D. candidate at the London University Institute of Education, came to Junten to discuss her research project.  Ms.Kimura’s research is related to international understanding and educational development and her focus is on the correlation between the youth’s attitude as a member of the local community and the global communities, and how young people see the “world”.   Ms.Kimura is planning to interview the Junten senior school students for her attitude survey.

Junten’s SGH program is also related to the students’ attitudes in the local and global communities, and Junten is hoping to develop a strong relationship with universities and research institutions that extensively deal with international understanding and educational development.  Ms.Kimura’s research complies with the goals of the Junten SGH program.

 Junten and Ms.Kimura talked about a possibility of a follow up research to find out about how the Junten SGH students have changed and if Junten and Ms.Kimura can establish joint-research project in the future.
