Food Drive 2021!
Every year in January, the Social Welfare Club holds a food drive and delivers the collected food to Second Harvest Japan. The food drive is a volunteer activity where people bring surplus food from their homes to schools, workplaces, etc. and donate it to local welfare organizations, facilities, food banks.
Due to the effects of the COVID-19, there are more people in need of food assistance than usual. This is the second food drive this school year, following last July which was held from January 8 to 21, members of the Social Welfare Club are collecting food during the school day. We cannot call out loudly since we are under a declared state of emergency, but we are asking for cooperation in the food drive by taking infection control measures and showing our cards.
