We could thing of thing like “losing motivation” or “studying somewhat without goals”. Then, Dr.Kuroda taught Serbian numerals “meaninglessly”. Participants were confused by the Serbian language that everyone saw for the first time. Dr.Kurada taught 0 to 9. All the participants including teachers tried to learn the numbers. When learning a foreign language I learned the importance of learning on the spot and verifying pronunciation. Actually, Serbian has two kinds of Cyrillic characters, besides Roman letters that are familiar to participants. We also challenged Cyrillic letters. 90 minutes went by very quickly. Dr.Kuroda was asked “Why did you study Russian?” ,  ” What is the first thing to do when learning a foreign language? ” or ” Is it difficult language? “. Dr.Kuroda closed the class with this remark, “if you studied a foreign language, you could win over AI!”.

2.Student Feedback
〇 I was surprised that it was possible to read even characters of which reading is too difficult to understood. By learning “sound → word → sentence” it became easier to understand, I thought that I could learn without difficulty with foreign languages.
〇 I think that it was the greatest harvest that I was able to find how to learn languages of other countries through practice practice.

Student Attendance: 23  Reported by Taro Komiyama

1. Topic Content
Dr.Takei explained in great detail from the history of the persecution of Jewish people to the background of the Israeli founding country. Some students knew that “God” in Judaism, Christianity and Islamism were originally believed in the same God and Jerusalem was a special place for both  religions. Some students were surprised that the idea of ”Jewish people” was a concept that was born “racialized” in discrimination. Also, in the Holocaust in World War II, it was shocking that about 3,000 Jewish people per day were killed. We should consider not only the current problems but also the multilateral viewpoint based on their religious background and historical background.

Gakushuin University, Faculty of Law Yuka Motoda

Student Attendance : 7  Reported by Reo Okusawa

1. Class Content

Dr.Motoda gave a lecture on the history of international HIV / AIDS infection and its countermeasures.
“AIDS is a disease of poverty”. This is a topic. Current AIDS patients estimated to exist about 36 million in theworld, but in recent years infection spread has concentrated in countries in sub-Saharan Africa. About 10% of them are under 15 years old. From the 1990s to the beginning of 2000, AIDS, which expanded in youth in Africa, reduced the number of young people and middle-aged people in African countries. As a result, young parents increasingly became absent, and AIDS orphans increased. Because the finances challenges of developing countries, social security and health-related budgets have been cut, and hygiene has become worst. Poverty spreads AIDS. Now the price of the medicine decreases little by little, and from 160,000 yen / day, the treatment fee drops to 3500 yen / day. (Doha Declaration)

2. Student impressions
I knew that there are medicines that control AIDs, but I found that social countermeasures are not in place. In the role play scenario, I read the scenario that a woman is unable to confess to her boyfriend. Also, I felt that overseas assistance is really necessary.  I felt that additional assistance might cause additional confusion. I thought that foreign aid is only good before the lecture, but I was able to think more deeply in this lecture.

③ Address the main point at the very beginning.
④ The contents should be minimal. Even if there is no character, that is OK. Remove extra stuff.
⑤ Do not use”Mincho” but use “Gothic”, as it is easy to see.
⑥ Transmit effectively using animation function without using laser pointer.
⑦ Paper copy of your presentation is not needed, because people listening will not listen to speakers.
