Junten Junior High School / Senior High School

On November 8th, the 4th SGH Conference was held at Senior School at Sakado, Tsukuba University. SGH schools gathered and shared their achievements through SGH. Junten Senior High School has participated in the poster presentation for four years. This conference was help with the 7th High School ESD Symposium. 

Mr.Egawa gave a poster presentation and his topic’s title is “Spread and awareness of first aid at schools in the Philippines”. Mr.Kiura gave a presentation entitled “Global Handwashing dance” in the Philippines”.

Mr.Kimura and Egawa both were given a 45 minute poster presentation period.  Both students gave 4 to 5 poster presentations to visited high school students or university professors. They also had a Q&A session in which the audience asked challenging questions. Poster presentations are great way to connect with their audiences. This experience will help them understand how to form information and deliver messages. 

Presenter’s Comments :In a poster presentation, speaking is very important, so I was focused on giving information but I was also tired. I realized that I needed to improve my speaking skills to give a persuasive presentation. 

I was not sure what kind of questions would be asked.  I felt I was a little underprepared and I could not answer all the questions well.
