Junten Junior High School / Senior High School

Junten Senior High School has started Global Week since 2016. 本(Global Week 2016)(Global Week 2017). From 2018, studens from high schools in the neighborhood can also join and Ukubunkan Ume Gakuen (Bunkyo-ku) and Seigaku-In (Kita-ku) will join with us this year. Ikubunkan Yume Gakuen and Junten have already started the colleboration projects and we had the Pre-Global Week Event at the high school. 

The event was a lecture by Dr. Hirotaka Sato from Nanyang Technological University. Dr.Sato is working to research on developing “cyborg insect drones”, which is to install microchips onto insects to control them. The insect drones are expected to use in disastrous situations where humans can not get in.

Dr. Hirotaka Sato explained in the language that still deliver the important scientific information but are easy to understand for the students. He also encouraged students to step outside and see the world. Thirty of the Junten Science and Math class joined and they went to Dr.Sato to ask questions after the lecture.

At this lecture, Junten encouraged the Ikubunkan students to come and study at the Global Week.
