On Saturday, March 24th, there was “SGH Koshien 2018 Poster Presentation” was held at Kansei Gakuen University Graduate School. This is an opportunity where SGH schools and SGH Associates competes by giving presentations of their research projects.
This year, a 2nd Year students, Ms.Yume Sato and Ms.Marika Suzuki gave a presentation and Ms.Suzuki’s “The Issues Surrounding Career Opportunities in Luzon Island in The Philippines won the Excellence Award” received Excellent Award.

Ms.Sato, who applied for the English presentation section, had passed application process, which involved a video assessment. She was the 1st presenter at the event. Ms.Sato successfully completed her 15 minute presentation, however she felt that she could not do well because she was too nervous.
Contestants were required to give their presentations four times. They were not informed when judges were listening to their presentations. 

They only had 5 minutes, which was too short to explain their experience and learnings in the Philippines. Each time Ms.Suzuki gave a presentation, she reviewed her performance and questions the audience asked to prepare for the next round.

This was not the end of the SGH research program. Based on today’s experience, the students will continue learning and improving their skills. Good luck!
