Since 2014, Junten students have tried the contest every year, and four students have won the prize.
Mr.Takeru Ohmrua won the prize this year. Mr.Ohmura, last summer, went to UK and Switzerland to learn hospitality. Mr.Ohmura first applied Tobitate Japan Program, but he unfortunately could not be selected. This experience motivated him to come up with his own programs to get an opportunity to study abroad. His tenacity and patience are now recognized by the Harvard Prize.
A former Miss Singapore Ms.Rachel Leng came for the prize recognition ceremony to give a book to Mr.Ohmura.
This time, there were a lot of applicants for the prize, so it was a very hard competition. Two students who were not chosen for the Harvard Book Prize this time had a chance to talk with Ms.Len about their futures. Ms.Len emphasis the importance of studying liberal arts for the future and encouraged students to study the subject.
