2017 SGH Presentation
On Friday February 16th, Junten held the SGH Presentation 2017. This event was open to public and was an opportunity to show the progress and process of the Junten SGH project. From all over Japan, 150 guests came to attend the event.
SGH Presentation 2017 Program and Schedule
Prior to the presentations, from 1:10 pm, there were two open class, English and Health and Physical Education. A lot of educators and guests came to see the classes.

From 2:30 PM, educators and guests went to Riken Hall to see students’ poster presentations. The guests are the experts in research projects, so they asked questions to help students explore their research topics. This kind of opportunities is a wonderful learning experience for students.

In the meanwhile, 23 students who are going to New York on Kakehashi Project from next week were giving their presentations in English. A lot of guest came to see the presentations and students were very excited about it. (Here is more about Kakehashi Project.)

At 3:20 PM, the event moved to JM Hall. At first, Mr.Nagatsuka, the Principal, gave a welcome speech. Then the Core Members of SGH who went to the Philippines and the students who passed the SGH Koshien gave a presentation in English.

Next was a presentation by Mr.Ogi from Kanseigakuin University. Mr.Ogi develops e-portfolio at the Consortium of Universities. The topic is really the interests of a lot of guests so they were listening very carefully while taking notes. After the event, there was a long line of guests waiting to ask questions for Mr.Ogi.

Finally, Junten gave the updates on Junten’s SGH Project. This year marks the 4th year for Junten SGH, so Junten’s role is not limited within Junten but it is to expand to other high schools. This year, Mr.Nakahara who is the representative of Junten’s SGH shared SGH ideas which can be appropriately utilized by any high schools.
