SGH Core Members 1st Year Senior High School Students Attended Asia Conference 2017

Saturday November 18th, International Colleboration and Social Business Asia Conference 2017 was held and Junten’s 1st Year students participated the conference. The organizer is Ms.Yachiyo Nakamura, who owns a restaurant “UNIQUEASE” in the Philippines and provides an opportunity for young people for employment and education. This year, Junten SGH students visited UNIQUEASE during their field trip.

Ms.Masuda who is one of the core members of SGH gave a feedback ★★★

SGH Core Members who attended the conference all went to JICA Global Plaza in Ichigaya.

The 1st Section was a lecture. A photo journalist Natsue Yasuda talked about how she started photo journalism. Then Rhea from UNIQUEASE Corporation in Manila and Noriel from NPO PALETTE shared their background, history and how they grew up in the Philippines, then their dreams for the future.

After the 1st Section. Ms.Yasuda showed pictures she has taken in Cambodia or Rikuzen-Takada after the tsunami disaster. Ms.Yasuda did an autography session and sold her books, while doing so, she kept talking with the students.

The 2nd Section was a panel discussion. There are four panelists and they are Yuri Yokoyama from Kamonohashi Project “SUSU”, Kuniaki Yanagi from Iroha India and Maki Yamada from Girls, be Ambitious in the Philippines and Yachiyo Nakamura from UNIQUEASE Corporation in the Philippines. Each panelist shared their work and experience in each country. A QR code was distributed in advance, and when you have a question, you can submit your questions to the panelist through the QR code. The moderator asked these questions while the panel discussion was going on. 90 minutes has passed very fast.

We also had an opportunity to talk with the lecturers and panelists in the break room. They answered to the questions we asked and gave advice on our research projects. It was valuable experience for all of us.
