Junten Junior High School / Senior High School

On Thursday November 9th, 1st Year Senior High School students attended a lecture, “EU Come to Your School”. 

Ms.Nagy Anita from Embassy of Hungary talked about what EU is and how EU and Japan work together. Ms.Nagy Anita works to promote Hungarian culture and education.  

Students know the term “ＥＵ”, however they did not have deep understanding about it. EU was established after WWII in hoping for peace. EU has historically played a very important role in the economics in Europe and in the world. The talk was very easy to understand, so students enjoyed this special lecture. 

　ＥＵは、ヨーロッパだけにとどまらず、世界の諸問題について積極的に貢献活動をしたり、留学の支援をしたりしています。この事実を知らない生徒も多くいたようで、ＥＵに対するイメージや考え方が大きく変わったり、身近に感じるようになったのではないでしょうか。本校の生徒たちは、日々のＳＧＨ活動を通して、開発支援や世界の環境問題・教育問題に強い関心を持つようになってきています。また、ヨーロッパから３名の留学生を迎えており、一緒に机を並べて学びながら、日常生活でも欧州文化を学んでいます。今回、ＥＵの実態や具体的な活動を知ることができて、将来の選択肢がひとつ増えたように思います。
