The SGH Moringa Team Gave a Presentation for the UNIQUEASE Project

On Saturday, June 11th, 1st Year and 2nd Year Senior High School SGH students who are in the GLAP-A class and some 3rd Year students participated in the “UNIQUEASE Student Project.” The project allowed the students to meet people who work at NPOs.

In the morning, there was a panel discussion. 1st Year students listened, hoping to determine their research topics, while 2nd Year students were hoping to gain knowledge about the Philippines before leaving for their fieldwork. The panelists were the experts on the people and issues of the Philippines. Talking with them must have been a great opportunity for the Junten students.

The students have learned about the Philippines from books and the internet, yet they can’t really visualize what the country is really like. They also did not know about what NPO workers do in the Philippines, so they asked the experts a variety of questions.

Later, the panel discussion expanded its focus to higher education, career and life planning. The panelists shared their experiences from when they were still young students. For Junten students, this was a rare, but valuable, opportunity.

In the afternoon presentation session,  Junten’s Moringa Team discussed their work with the moringa plant.

The Moringa Team shared their projects, including the moringa cookie sale at the Junten campus and their presentation at a large trading corporation. They received good advice, such as how to promote moringa in Japan.

At the end of the event, the attendees had a casual meeting where they exchanged their ideas and thoughts. The event was such a great resource for Junten students!
