A New Class of SGH Students
Since 2014, Junten Senior High School has been a Super Global High School. On April 15th, two-hundred and forty-five new 1st Year students attended an SGH Guidance Session.
Through the SGH project, students will improve their creativity, international communication and interpersonal skills. Students will also become diverse young leaders with initiative. Junten has developed a standard rubric to track the students’ improvement.
During the SGH Guidance Session, the new students learned about Junten’s research methods. In the 1st semester, students will be given a practice research task. The students will then study social issues in the Philippines and create a research plan based on an issue they are passionate about.
The upperclassmen have been participating in Junten SGH for one to two years. At orientation, the senior students gave presentations to show what they have learned in the Philippines and gained through SGH. The senior students encouraged the 1st Year students to proactively pursue new challenges through SGH.
