SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) Forum at Takushoku University
A SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) Forum was held on Saturday, December 3rd at the Bunkyo Campus of Takushoku University.
In the 1st part of the Forum, participating students reported on UNESCO’s activities, JICA’s special lectures and local volunteer activities. From Junten Senior High School, a 3rd Year student, Ms.Hinano Teramura, attended the Forum and presented on Junten’s SGH research project and the Philippines Fieldwork.
In the 2nd part of the Forum, all the participants were divided into small groups to discuss their goals. The SDGs Forum was organized by Takushoku University’s Global Facilitator Program, International Development Education Center, and Global Education Forum. University students from the Global Facilitator Program lead the Forum and participants communicated in a friendly and relaxed environment.
SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) Forum
During the European Union’s 2015 Sustainable Development Summit, a new plan “2030: Transforming our World: the Agenda for Sustainable Development” was adopted. The SDGs have set 17 goals and 169 targets that demonstrate the scale and ambition of this new universal Agenda.
