On Sunday November 28^th and Wednesday November 30^th, as a Global Week special event, there was a special screening event to show Akira Kurosawa’s “Throne of Blood.” 

The story is an adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Macbeth” into feudal Japan. On the 1^st Day of Global Week, Mr.Yu Umemiya from Waseda University gave a presentation about “Macbeth” (Lecture Code #104.)

Director Akira Kurosawa gave us his interpretation of Macbeth, and students who watched the film after they attended the #104 lecture hopefully realized the importance of forming their own unique interpretations of the world and expressing them.
