[Ms.Reina Inoue]

Ms.Inoue’s childhood dream was to take dance lessons at the Millennium Dance School in Los Angeles (L.A.), so Ms.Inoue applied to the Sports/Art section of the Tobitate Japan Project to make her dream come true. In L.A., Ms.Inoue studied English in the morning and then she took dance lessons for two to three hours. At first, she felt hesitant during the authentic and energetic dance lessons, but as time went by, she started enjoying dancing in the class. Ms.Inoue is hoping to apply to Tobitate Japan’s program for university students so she can go back to L.A. again.

[Ms.Ai Shibata]

Ms.Shibata’s father inspired her to study the Paralympics, so Ms.Shibata’s quest abroad was to visit the birthplace of the Paralympics and deepen her knowledge about the event. Ms.Shibata was moved by London’s Paralympics commercial. This led her to apply for Tobitate Japan’s Take-Off Program. In London, she spent every day studying English at a language school and spent time exploring Stoke Mandeville Hospital where the Paralympics started. Ms.Shibata would like to volunteer at the Tokyo Paralympics, so she is studying very hard to improve her language skills.

The Tobitate Japan Program’s orientation for the 1st Year students of High School and the 3rd Year students of Junior High School is scheduled for November 22nd.  Those who are interested in Tobitate, please come to the event to learn more!
